My wife and I stayed in the Rose Hotel for three nights in January 2017, using the Active Retired offer. We loved our stay here. The rooms were very comfortable and the food was excellent. The reception and restaurant staff were extremely pleasant, caring, friendly and were continuously willing to provide assistance if required. The value for money was excellent and we plan on returning to this hotel again in the not too distant future.

We booked a room for New Years's Night with dinner and full breakfast! The rooms are good size and bathrooms equipped with quality shower products. The food was plenty, tasty and the service was exquisite! I would definitely recommend the place and I wish to congratulate the staff at the restaurant for making the hotel a 5 star stay. On the other hand: sauna place is too small to be advertised... maybe 6 people would fit to still be in the comfortable zone, the flush for the room we stayed was broke and the water for bath was more cold than hot (so maybe a check of important things from time to time would be great)! All together we enjoyed the stay!

stayed at this hotel on sat last for 1 nite. what a fab hotel, the entrance area is very large, plenty of seating around the lobby. the reception desk I thought could be a bit more done up, looked a bit drab. the receptionist was very nice and check in was done quickly.1 small complaint was that she didn't ask me if I wanted dinner booking, or anything re meals etc. the bedroom was very nice and clean, bathroom was clean lovely fresh towels, there was a bit of mould in the shower area, could do with a touch up. what a fab, dining room, fab décor. had a lovely breakfast, very good service. we had a lovely peaceful nite. it is a very busy hotel, cater for all. I would go back again. rating 4.5

From the moment we arrived at the Rose Hotel we felt very welcome. The staff were so friendly and courteous throughout our three days and it was clear that every guest received top quality treatment. The food in the restaurant was excellent for dinner and our waitress looked after us so well. Breakfast was good too, the cooked breakfast was excellent. The room was very spacious and clean. The Paul Costello toiletries were lovely. The only issue was the low lighting which made it impossible to read, perhaps a reading lamp would be worth adding. Overall the Rose Hotel experience was one we would recommend and we will stay there again.

I stayed in the beautiful Rose Hotel this week as part of a business group and was very impressed with the building, my room, staff and services. However, although it's not an essential service, every member of my group mentioned that TV reception was very poor so this is something maybe management should look at some time in the future. Finally, the approach to this lovely building could be improved - it doesn't give a good first impression due to the waste ground on both sides of the drive. I understand this ground is the location for the Dome during the annual Rose of Tralee Festival, but maybe some additional planting and landscaping could soften the appearance a little. Thank you Rose Hotel for a comfortable stay and I hope to stay with you again next time I'm in Tralee.

We selected this hotel as being ideally located as a base for our golfing trip to Ballybunion, Tralee & Waterville and we couldn't have been more pleased. The hospitality of all the staff but particularly the boys in the bar was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble from early breakfasts to late evening meals and the level of accommodation was perfectly suited to help soothe those aching links from tramping the links of SW Ireland. But unfortunately, even though the Food was lovely, portions were very small. 37.50 for a four course meal is ok, but we had to go to a chipper that night as we were still hungry. Same can be said for the breakfast following morning, badly presented, and to be honest it would be be far better if people could self serve them selves like I have seen in 2 star hotels. I have stayed at this Hotel on numerous occasions under different names ie. Fels Point, Carlton, and now the Rose hotel. One thing this hotel always guaranteed was good quality Food ie. Breakfast and Evening Meals. But not on this occasion. My wife and I found the food in your hotel inedible. When I asked at Breakfeast for an omelet I was refused and was told My wife and I could have scrambled egg instead so reluctantly we agreed. Within One minute we were both served our scrambled egg. I don't know where it came from but it was disgusting. My wife and I are Ardent travellers and the standard of food that was served up to us at your hotel was of very poor quality. On the Saturday we attended a Wedding at Ballygarry House Tralee just up the road from your Hotel. It was an experience to Savour so much so I went back to Ballygarry House on Sunday for Lunch with my wife before we made our Journey home. The standard of Food at Ballygarry House is so much superior than that of the Rose Hotel, in fact Ballygarry House is light years ahead of the Rose Hotel. There is no excuse for poor Quality food in this day and age. Especially from such a Hotel as yourself. I had been warned beforehand that the Food at your Hotel was of poor Quality but I took that with a pinch of Salt but Not anymore. While your Hotel has received an overhaul in the decor department and I may add looks Beautiful, Someone has dropped the ball in the Catering department. Kind Regards Michael Mulcahy

Thank you for the opportunity to write a review. The staff at the front desk, restaurant and bar were all very friendly, helpful and professional which made our stay very enjoyable however I do have a couple of comments that I hope will add to the over all stature of the FELS PIONT. Our room number 255, was clean and well appointed with two exceptions. The sink in the bathroom has cracked in a number of places, and shows stains in the cracks. Not hygienic at all. In the bathtub / shower there needs to be clear labels showing which handle is for Hot and Cold. It is only by trial and error that we figured out how to sort out safe temperature. The new bar / lounge area is comfortable however, installing another flat screen TV, say above the fire place to the right of the entrance would be great. The current screen is good but has a limited viewing area if a large number want to watch a sporting event, like the Six Nations this past Saturday. Perhaps in Ireland it is the custom to bring children into a pub / bar and to some extent I don't have a problem with this but there should be an area where adults can sit without having children running around late in the evening. Going into the bar after 8 PM at night for a relaxing drink and adult conversation would be inviting if there was a separate area for adults. I would recommend the FELS POINT to anyone in that part of Ireland and will perhaps return later this summer. Kind regards Craig Buick

Dear Fells point, we stayed with u last weekend the 18 to the 20th, we just want to say our stay was 5 star from the hotel to the staff to the spa. Each staff member we met were nicer then the other I would like to mention Ann Donna, so helpful and friendly, one of my friends had just fin Chemo so we asked her about a cake that night at dinner, she arranged it all with the manager that was on that Saturday night. The bar man Tom and not to forget Orla in the spa, excellent service and so friendly. Reception staff couldn't b nicer, over all a great weekend and we will b back for our christmas weekend away the last weekend in November. Thanks, great hotel. A Downey.
